Everywhere. Are you the person we are looking for BlackBerrys Dev Ops team are working to ensure the continuous evolution of our cyber security platform. Working as the first Dev Ops resource on the ground in Noida, you will have the opportunity to help the Dev Ops Manager build out the local team whilst being a key technical resource to the global Dev Ops team. You will be using the newest technology and tools and get to experience some unique deployment approaches. • Take technical leadership on new initiatives around DevOps areas and provide thought leadership on these new initiatives
• Define, develop, and maintain artifacts such as technical design and documentation for various types of audience
• Seek out improvements to efficiency and reliability through use of automation
• Maintain, monitor, and establish standard methodologies for containerized environments
• Supervise infrastructure utilization and provide recommendations for cost optimization
• Identify and implement security improvements such as infrastructure hardening, credential management usage and rotation policies
• Design and implement effective monitoring and alerting to ensure the health and performance of production applications
• Design, maintain and deploy infrastructure components through Infrastructure-as-Code tooling across multiple environments
• Design and maintain and deploy CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Actively resolve any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch
• Analyze existing application monitoring processes and make improvements for continuous and proactive monitoring
• Lead code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.
• Coach and mentor other DevOps engineers
• Stay up to date with DevOps technologies
What you will bring:
• Significant experience with AWS Services (EC2, ELB, EKS, ECS, ELK, Kinesis, AutoScaling, SNS, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Cloud Front, IAM with Cross account policies, AWS CLI)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration
• Strong experience with network mesh tools like IstioLinkerd and CI tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Experience using package managers and template frameworks such as Helm to deploy large-scale highly available systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Bash, Perl.
• Experience in working with one or more of the tools Infrastructure as code, Containerization and orchestration (Terraform/Terragrunt, Docker & Kubernetes)
It would be great if you had the following but its not essential:
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services including but not limited to Mozilla SOPs, Prometheus.
• AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin
