Job Description

SM, Commercial ClaimsYou ll be responsible for developing trusting relationships with insurance adjusters. After building those relationships, adjusters will send you contents claims from commercial properties who ve experienced losses. You ll then review the claims, transcribe the items into a spreadsheet, and conduct research to find the best way to recover and repair those damages. You ll work closely with adjusters and insureds to ensure we re providing the best estimates, utilizing licensed contractors to handle repairs, and completing everything in a timely fashion. You ll spend a lot of time on the phone, in Excel based programs, and on the internet. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are qualities the ideal candidate will possess.Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and maintain trusting relationships with adjusters and insureds
  • Determine if submitted repair estimates are fair and within payment limits of the assigning insurance company
  • Coordinate repair estimates with various contractors for liability and commercial losses
  • Research new contractors and ensure they are licensed and bonded (review proof of insurance and licenses)
  • Arrange returns and replacements as necessary (typically when initial replacement items were received in unacceptable condition)
  • Transcribe contents inventories into proprietary evaluating platform
  • Communicate with insureds by telephone to review inventory, extract pertinent details, and review direct replacement options
  • Perform Like, Kind, Quality evaluations on contents inventory
  • Compile, submit and receive proper authorizations for replacement services
  • Prepare orders for fulfillment
  • Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken
  • Resolve customers service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualifications
  • Display detailed knowledge of Core Vendors and Claim Tracker
  • Able to handle live assignments from start to finish
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems in managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.

  • The ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public and other external sources in a positive manner.
