Job Description

Senior SQA EngineerThe Quality Assurance team comprises of highly skilled and experienced Testing professionals located in India and Europe. The team supports and ensures high quality of software by independently verifying that software functionality conforms to business requirements using a combination of manual and technical testing techniques. The team is also responsible for verifying technical aspects of the implementation including the performance and scalability of the platform.Position summaryIHS Markit is seeking experienced testing professionals to join its IHS Markit NOIDA team. This position will involve automation testing on Cucumber/Type Script , UI and API Testing.This is an exciting time to join the thinkFolio Team which is award-winning Buy-Side platform. It will be a rewarding opportunity to be joining a growing team on a great technology journey. You will be working on an existing initiative which we are looking to relocate to our Manchester office where you will be covering the testing for a multi-asset class Portfolio and Order Management system. Duties & accountabilities
  • Create or feed into Test Plans.
  • Good knowledge of the Trade life cycle.
  • Good understanding of Portfolio Management or Order Management Systems and how they communicate with other venues.
  • Create or feed into Test Plans.
  • Proven track record in designing, maintaining & creating test suites with detailed test conditions and scripts covering business, functional and technical use cases.
  • Experienced in differing testing techniques i.e. Functional, Non-Functional, Regression & End to End testing.
  • Be able to understand and interpret business software requirements.
  • Strong understanding of setting up test data.
  • Confidence working in application logs.
  • Candidate should possess a can-do attitude.
  • High competence in raising clear and concise issues.
  • Identifying, report and re-testing bug fixes.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working in the Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Help troubleshoot issues.
  • Should be customer-oriented and results-driven.
Automation Testing
  • Good knowledge of BDD and automation on any programming language
  • Good knowledge of any Test automation tools & awareness of frameworks.
  • Maintenance of the Test harness.
Desirable
  • Working with different asset classes and trading platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a globally distributed software development team.
  • Knowledge of any Manual or Test automation tools.
  • Querying database tables using SQL.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber & Gherkin.
