Job Description

    About the team: The Software Asset Management function is a part of the IT Governance team which is responsible to identify and mitigate IT risks within the organisation. The IT Governance team works closely with the IT Operations team to have the required impact. Overall, the IT Operations and IT Governance teams role up to the Vice President of Platform Management.About the role: The Software Asset Manager s role is to provide day to day interface between the business and suppliers to ensure that the company is compliant with the license entitlements, the budgets available and audit requirements.Responsibilities:Management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing.Identify savings/optimisation opportunities and work internally to plan its closure/implementation.Manage contracts and relationships to maximise value creation and costs for software licensing and maintenance.Coordinate and manage external software audits.Present periodic license compliance reports to the management.Understand ongoing budget impact of day to day activities and manage as per internal requirements.Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, maintenance, and service agreements for the organizations software. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.Implement/drive SAM policies and procedures across the organisation.Expectations/ Requirements:Responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function at a large scale of IT assets across the globe.Has sound knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT Support and Infrastructure.Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions5+ years hands on experience in license compliance reporting for Microsoft, Adobe, VMware, SAP etc.IAITAM certification (preferred)Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Works under general supervision with team-leading skills.Strong administration and numeracy skills along with advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a genuine enthusiasm for IT service/Asset management.Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this roleHigh level of drive, initiative and self-motivationAbility to take internal and external stakeholders alongUnderstanding of Technology and User ExperienceLove for simplifyingGrowth MindsetWillingness to experiment and improve continuouslyWhy join usBecause you get an opportunity to make a difference, and have a great time doing that.You are challenged and encouraged here to do stuff that is meaningful for you and for those we serve.You should work with us if you think seriously about what technology can do for people.We are successful, and our successes are rooted in our people collective energy and unwavering focus on the customer, and thats how it will always be.,
