*Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. ISD offers a unique experience working with different technologies but not limited to Linux, Oracle PL/SQL, APE, Java/J2EE, Perl, Web Services to name a few. As a Senior Software Engineer(IC3), you ll be using your development expertise and database know-how to help our team with the merger of Oracle acquisitions, internal development groups, support systems and documentation environments into our Jira Development, MOS Support and Confluence Documentation systems. We also provide support to other departments to bulk import issues and test cases into our systems. Our solutions will require you to work effectively with your teammates. But your real success with Oracle will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination. Every migration is unique and will require your skills to keep us on track.This position will participate in designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs and scripts. Candidate will critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, develop/support complex systems, along with the best practices to ensure a high quality end product. We need a senior level developer who can work independently. He/she has to be able hit the ground running, and expect him/her to be able to research issues on their own if there are problems. Our team does a lot of collaboration, so we need someone experienced enough to find the tools and express opinions on ways to handle various problems. Primary Responsibilities: Developing applications/code in Pl/SQL and Java Participating in code reviews Working with application teams and other stakeholders Engaging actively in the technical decision making process Participating in technical discussions and providing feedback depending on the needs of the team/department Ensuring compliance with development methodology and technical process Required Skills: Strong Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL programming fundamentals Strong Java and API programming Strong Perl and Shell scripting skills Strong working knowledge in Unix/Windows Operating system Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle and QA Processes/Methodologies Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills Ability to work with no/minimal supervision. Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication Desired skills Other database experience such as Sybase, SQL Server, or others would be a plus. APEX experience is a plus Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile programming methodologies Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed
