This role is part of the CNS-Enterprise Solutions-System Integration Services in the Solution Management Applications and Platform team. The team is a horizontal team developing new solutions for the vertical solution areas.What you will learn and contribute to There is an opportunity for a Database Architect with hands-on experience and expertise in the managing database architecture for large scale applications.General Responsibilities
• An DB architect understand the data integrity practices and principles to adhere with atomicity of the operations.
• Actively contribute to define the techniques for DDL, DML, DCL etc.
• Specifies & designs database to support HA/DR and other resiliency aspects for the application.
• Design, Improve, Upgrade, Tune, Optimise, Secure and fully mange all the database used in the platform.
• Leverage the DB services from public cloud providers to implement the best practices for DB.
• Responsible for the security and backups of the databases
• Will be responsible for regular reporting on the performance of the databases.
• Drive security and compliance architecture and implementation to ensure database compliance with corporate and regulatory policies such as GDPR, US Data regulations etc.
Your skills and experience Technical Skills
• 8+ years of work experience as a Database Architect.
• Proven track record of managing databases for massive scale
• Proficient in writing complex queries, procedures/functions.
• Experience of SQL and No SQL Databases postgres, timeseries, Cassandra, mongoDB
• Proficiency in developing DB architectures using AWS/AZURE/GCP database services
• Strong understanding of Database concepts, SQL Server federation, SQL Server Data Sync, Replication, Distributed transaction management
• Experience configuring PostgreSQL monitoring using Prometheus end points, Grafana etc.
• Hands-on experience in DB clusters, Replica, Sharding, migrations, optimization
• Experience in implementing DB operational automation using automation tools / scripts
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQLProfiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with data modelling, database architecture and design (SQL, No SQL and hybrid SQL/No SQL environments) and data mining
• Experience in big data solutions on premises and on the cloud will be preferred.
• Data-lake experience would be desirable.
