About the opportunityJob DescriptionSpecialist Corporate SecurityDepartment OverviewThe Corporate Security team at Fidelity is responsible for assets protection, employee safety & other range of security services such as office security, external security reviews and audits, material management, travel security, transport security, alarm monitoring etc.Purposes of the role Ensure protection of Fidelity s primary assets; reputation, people, information and facilities. Responsible for mitigating site risks, maintaining a safe and secure workplace. Manage incidents, crisis management and provide Fidelity associates with related training Provides first responder services during life safety emergencies and other incidents within the scope of operational assignments and training. Such incidents include, but are not limited to, medical emergencies, fire and other life safety exigencies like building evacuations, responding to disruptive or potentially disruptive situations and unlawful or inappropriate conduct involving employees and others on Fidelity premises and/or Fidelity controlled space.Your key accountabilities

  • Renders first responder services during all emergencies & incidents. These include but are not limited to medical emergencies, fire emergencies, unauthorized entry, facility evacuations, unlawful acts etc.
  • Prepares written reports of incidents. Uses various computer applications to document safety hazards and report incidents, and communicate with supervisors
  • Conduct focused patrols by foot to identify hazards for the purpose of safeguarding people, property, and information within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that the facilities and other occupied areas are properly secured.
  • Implements security and safety measures in accordance with policy, procedures and training.
  • Conduct regular briefing and training to all the vendor security staff at the site.
  • Act as a point of contact for immediate terminations, weekly termination listings and other exception issues.
  • Uses various manual and automated equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies & data entry devices.
  • Provides access control, security and customer interface at fixed posts, to include lobby entry points, executive reception areas and event related assignments. Answers phone calls and documents messages and requests.
  • Ensure that all the contract guard force posts are adequately staffed.
  • Monitor alarms, Print and issue access cards to employees and address related concerns.
  • Perform specialized additional duties relating to controlling computer systems, facility access, security awareness, SP2I reviews, Floor Warden training, inductions programmes, incident management, and other project related work.
  • Maintains all the material, visitor, vendor & related data accurate all the times.
  • Liaison s with UK Corporate Security to standardize best practices, policies, procedures and training
Your skills and experience
  • Knowledge of physical security techniques and principles, or the ability to acquire such knowledge through training.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or the ability to acquire such knowledge through training.
  • Competent computer literacy with experience in MS Office products.
  • Good communications & analytical skills.
  • Able to spend periods of time walking or standing at a fixed post; able to perform first responder rescue activities involved with medical or facility emergency situations.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and readable written incident reports and other documents.
  • Ability to meet and deal with the general public.
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Three - Five years experience in the field of Security management
  • Security related certifications will be preferred
