Specialist, Systems Security Analysis

Job Description

As part of an Enterprise Technology Group, Provide technical support as a member of the NOC and SOC Support team. Provide immediate response and/or investigation of system alerts in a complex network environment. Monitors network performance and takes proactive corrective actions to insure maximum network availability is achieved. Also provide implementation and design support to engineering team where need to build / upgrade etc. firewalls and proxies. Provide suggestion and approach to implement new solution or enhance existing along with automation in network and security ..Job Responsibilities

• Provide security support for troubleshooting and resolving security related incidents, providing assistance to peer team (engineering, security, system administrators) to identify, isolate, restore and apply long term corrective action
• Provide Sniffer capture and decode. Perform detailed packet analysis via data packet capture to rule out network and security issues and provide diagnostics for application and server problems
• Coordinate workload, training and mentoring of junior associates
• Assist customers both internal and external with connectivity problems as they relate to the network
• Assist with client testing, new implementations, new product access, and DR testing
• Participate in special project teams, representing network operations on new products designs and implementations. Develop network support structure and process for new BU implementations
• Ability to communicate with Business Unit management and/or their clients disseminating information relevant to the client request in a clear and concise manner
• Resolve issues and deal with difficult situations, bringing a high degree of professionalism and tact during stressful circumstances, represent Fiserv as a quality organization
• Evaluate new hardware, monitoring systems and tools
• Creates reviews, approves and performs network changes
• Assists with major Maintenance Windows and DR tests as needed
• Participates in Problems reviews
• Works with Network Engineering, Monitoring team and Vendors to evaluate and test new hardware, monitoring systems and tools
• Researches solutions to coding challenges both in the lab and working with 3rd party vendors
• Must be able to troubleshoot complex routing and spanning tree issues
• Creates reviews, approves and performs network changes
• Execution of all security engineering related work where need to modify existing solution for better enhancement.
• Automation to enhance Organizational capabilities.
• Need to work on Incident and service tickets
• Monthly Reporting including capacity reporting, incident reporting, etc.
• Participate in testing and training of Network Analysts and Staff Analysts
• All other duties as assigned

Job RequirementsEducation Required

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Certifications: (If applicable)

• CCNA , CCSA , PCNSE and CCSP / CCNP Security along with certification or work experience on proxy preferred.

Experience Required

• 5 years of experience in a similar security support or engineering role.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Excellent commendation skills, well spoken, ability to deal with clients and managers at various levels, work with engineers & vendors.
• Must be outgoing, self-starter and be able to resolve complex issues with limited supervision or direction.
• Proficiency in Checkpoint , Palo alto , Cisco ASA , Proxies , Cisco routers and switches (Palo Alto a plus), Microsoft Office Applications and Visio Diagramming.
• Excellent oral, written, analytical skills.
• Must have in-depth understanding of 24/7 production operations and adherence to SLAs.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees.
• Must be able to work as a team member in a technical operations environment.
• Must be self-motivated and able to think outside the box.
• Experience defining and creating process and procedure documentation preferred.
• Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN technology and protocols including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HTTP, FTP, TCP, and Spanning Tree.
• In depth knowledge of Firewall and URL filtering with any of the following, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Bluecoat, Websense, and Checkpoint
• Knowledge of VPN.
