Architect Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applicationsInteract with clients to identify structural specifications, location and budgetProvide construction, time, cost, machineries, and other specifications to management.Prepare proposals and deliver presentations convincing clients to offer them contracts for a building designProduce designs for proposed structures using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and manual draftingSupervise the activities of junior designers to ensure the accuracy of their structural plansAdapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during constructionTravelling regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetingsApplying for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departmentsMaintain all the documentations related to architectural designs and construction conditions.Update existing design techniques with respect to latest design trends.Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on regular basis.Requirements Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge for Architectural Designer JobBachelors Degree in Architecture B. ArchMasters Degree in Architecture M. Arch> 3 years of experience in marbal / construction industryExcellent communication skills, both written and oral in EnglishHigh levels of creativity, imagination and visionA keen interest in the built environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusionWillingness to work long hours, under time and budget pressureExcellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD)Strong mathematical skillsA keen eye for the detail of specific tasks, combined with an understanding of how such specifics fit in with the project as a wholeOrganizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasksAn analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilityLeadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals
