The CO organization has a comprehensive global presence and is active in approximately 120 countries. Customer Operations is also responsible for project delivery, ensuring strong alignment between our customer-facing sales and delivery teams in each accountSales Strategy & Operations (SSO) comprises the creation and driving of overall sales strategy, management of strategic planning and strategic initiatives, and driving of business updates. Purpose of the role is identification and understanding of the drivers of short and long-term sales performance through advanced analytics. Covers preparation of analysis for management business reviews and leadership discussions as well as the support of business strategic initiatives, and other key business programmes. Directs and monitors the backbone of the sales function and ensures an efficient and smooth infrastructure. Ensures sales teams focus on generating revenue and closing deals by providing operation support and implementing programmes to support sales excellence. Comprises provision of appropriate sales operations support to the frontline staff by owning, documenting, and clearly communicating the sales process in the market or sales unit.Job Responsibilities & Competencies:Job Responsibilities:

  • The Sales Operations Specialist contributes to/ is responsible for the overall or a specific area in the operational side of all sales processes in
    • Sales performance and analytics reporting and reviews, funnel and KPI management and tracking,
    • Operations and programmes to manage deal awards and incentives, customer surveys, account operations, and
    • Processes and tools to drive sales excellence.
  • Contributes to the overall or a specific area in the operation of the sales process to market or sales unit. Sales Enabler & provides specialized operational support, in close collaboration with Market/Market Units, such as:
    • Support all regular reporting and ad hoc initiatives toward Market and MU/GCBTs
    • Contribute to performance analytics and business insights (MBRs)
    • Funnel/Pipeline & KPIs management
    • Supporting Strategic AP/LR planning
    • Sales process (Hierarchies/Gates/LOA) and tools (CRM/CMD)
    • Follow-up on CO strategy across market units and BGs, including account plans and market updates
    • Sales operations platforms and customer master data guidance, assistance and support
    • Assure order intake forecast data quality, integrity and analysis
  • Provide appropriate Sales Ops support to the frontline (Key user and first line support), being their main point of contact for processes and tools, by owning, documenting and clearly communicating sales process
  • Coordinates sales programme or processes and tools operation, or handles analytics, tracking and reporting.
  • Independently works within broad guidelines and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues.
  • Works with substantial discretion and uses specialist knowledge, analytical skills, judgment and broad conceptual and practical experience to solve complex problems and to contribute to process improvements.
  • Transfers concepts for professional direction of own organisational unit into actionable measures.
  • Provides training to colleagues on sales operations topics
  • May lead small projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
  • Contribute to digitalization of reporting capabilities, automation and transformation
  • The role will rarely require travel, but the candidate would be required to work flexible hours due to the global operation of the CO SSO team.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication & presentation skills required to engage with stakeholders at different levels across the organization including (executive) management.
  • Market insights: High-level business trends, technological directions
  • Strong skills in understanding sales process, market units business strategy and analytics requirements/ governance
  • Prior experience in project management.
  • Tool related capabilities: Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Master Data (CMD), Einstein Analytics for reporting
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint), Visualization tools knowledge
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience/ Mastery of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and practice within a function. Expert in more than one area, broad perspective.
  • 8+ years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate/ postgraduate equivalent degree or MBA.
  • The candidate should have working experience in sales operations.
  • Job Grade: 7/8 depending on the individually agreed scope of responsibilities.
