*Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate. Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Responsible for support documentation as well.Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field., * Responsible for Incident initiation on CX Responsible for carrying out initial Triage Responsible for referring the incident to functional groups for troubleshooting via paging Responsible for initiation of bridge during major incident Responsible for CDM notification and engagement of fault resolution groups Responsible for engagement of relevant technical resource group while handling incidents in a timely manner Responsible for clear and correct documentation of incident along with accurate stat using and correct codes Responsible for sending information to mobile based GBU Cloud Services regarding Major incidents. Responsible for sending communication of Major / High visibility/escalated incidents to FRG management as well as GBU management and keep them informed regarding the progress as per the agreed timelines through emails. Responsible for sending communication to CSM and support desk in order get validation of incident resolution from customer end. Responsible for prompt response of emails received during his / her shift. Responsible for clear documentation of Post incident review with clear timelines. Responsible to inform the shift lead on receipt of multiple alerts which may result in Major incident. The candidate must be familiar with Windows and Unix / Linux based Operating System, database and Internet technologies, security and hosting facilities. The candidate must feel comfortable in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Have flexibility in scheduling and past history of supporting a 24x7 alert and ticket based environment. Provide real time MONITORING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT for Application, Network, Server and Enterprise system elements using alarming and monitor notification tools. Maintain, monitor and manage mission critical servers and applications in a mission critical 24x7 environment Manage applications in multi-server Windows, Linux, and Oracle environment, requiring limited or no downtime. Review on a regular basis (at a minimum quarterly) GBUCS metrics and procedures and any identified training. Experience with TCP/IP, Telnet, SMTP, FTP, VPN and DNS services. Installation and operation of custom Internet and Intranet computing environments running Windows and Linux. Disciplined technical thinker, able to work within environment that has a highly documented process. Demonstrable expertise in server/system management in a production environment Alert Monitoring background in a 24x7 environment Strong communication skills Strong Knowledge of Windows server technologies. Must be self-managed and self-motivated. Familiar with updating and creating technical documentation. Familiarity with Linux Virtual Server environments
