Job Description

ResponsibilitiesOverall quality assurance responsibility for project(s) within respective team(s) includingwork streams and mentoring/guiding fellow AssociatesPrior to the implementation phase of a project, support the QA lead in the requirementanalysis to determine the right QA strategy, as requiredWork alongside the QA team to implement the agreed QA strategyRaise technical issues, product defects and risks with the leads and project managers.Pro-active in maintaining test cases and leading defect triageEncourage best practices within the project QA team to ensure a high quality of work.Lead by example by attending and being punctual in all team meetings/scrums.Ensure all QA strategies reviewed and auditedBe the first escalation point for the project teamEnsure client communications in tasks/tickets and emails follow the rules ofengagementEnsure QA related documentation/knowledge base of the project is kept up to dateamong the teamChair daily meetings with team members ensuring all QA team members are aware ofworking priorities escalate as necessaryRequirementsAbility to deliver test artefacts such as test plans, test scripts, test results and reports, asper the defined guidelinesUse of appropriate analytical techniques to identity and reproduce defects during testexecutionsAbility to visualize how applications works in an n-tiered architecture, to identify testscope, gap(s) in requirements and following general practices2+ years of overall experience in a QA role, with commercial testing experience onwebsites, APIs and native mobile appsSQL experience required for a QA roleExposure to working in a high-performance team that has used Agile, TDDSolid experience of writing well-formed testsExperience of using test management tool(s) like TestRailExperience of using defect management tool(s) like JIRAExperience of code versioning tools such as Git, Bitbucket or StashAbility to constantly learn and stay in touch with evolving standards and testmethodologiesISTQB Certified is good to have.
