evOps Engineer Job Description As a DevOps Engineer, you will build the tooling, practices, and infrastructure necessary for the automation of infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, security and control functions of the WeInvest platform. You will have the opportunity to work on the end to end DevOps stack with a rock star platform development team. You will lay the foundation for the DevOps function within WeInvest and have the opportunity to grow your career at the pace of growth of the company and the platform. Key responsibilities for this role include: Implement tooling and process to manage migration of all systems changes (code configuration) through various environments (Dev, Test, UAT, PROD, etc.) of the WeInvest platform. Implement tooling and process to automate infrastructure setup and management across all our environments across multiple client installatinos. Implement tooling and process to manage regular data backups, logs processing and access control. Manage ongoing maintenance activities such as certificate renewals, outage communications, and sandbox environment refreshes. Troubleshoot, reproduce and solve challenging operational issues in a complex cloud environment, involving our load balancing platforms, and interacting with multiple micro services across our infrastructure. Develop tools and procedures to support security and access control automation (provisioning controls) in AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have: A bachelors or masters degree in computer science or software systems with upto 5 years of relevant experience. A passion for automation of all aspects of software development and maintenance. Atleast 2 years working experience in designing and implementing automated solutions to enable the management, administration of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google cloud etc) with expert knowledge of AWS technologies (EC2, S3, R53, ELB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, SES,.) Extensive experience in a DevOps team, supporting CI/CD workloads, confirguration management software with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc. Programming/scripting experience with Python, Ruby, or Bash is a must. Experience with some aspect(s) of computer security: network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, etc is a big plus. Expereince with automation of log pooling, rotation, scrubbing analysis is plus. Experience with the use of service monitoring tools such as statsd, collectd, ELK stack or similar 3rd party monitoring services is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively on shared projects with program managers, developers and testers.
