Job Description

Study diseases and conditions of the body
Diagnose a wide range of diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases and diabetes
Take samples of body tissue and fluids and test them to identify infectious agents that cause disease for example, bacteria, viruses (such as HIV) and parasites
Write detailed reports on the findings of tests
Provide advice to other medical practitioners
Investigate deaths and complete autopsies
Look after a blood bank in a laboratory and facilitate blood collection programmes
Teach medical students and trainee pathologists
Carry out research.

Desired Candidate Profile

Handling Hematology, Clinical Pathology & Biochemistry, Planning & implementing of internal Quality Control, External Quality Control & proficiency tests with Laboratory Manager.
Complaint handling & reducing complaintsOptimum Utilization of staff & equipment.Ensure results are reported within turnaround time through technicians & review their performance in light of this.
Responsible for the management & documentation of clerical, analytical, pre-analytical errors.Ensure good clinical practices/ to handle quality assurance and quality control effectively.
Provide training to team on good laboratory practicesManage manpower in department with excellent leadership and man management skills.
Assure that the results reported are accurate.
