Job Description

As the primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors, and individuals.GLOBAL OPERATIONAL RISKThe Global Risk Management team is uniquely positioned within the firm as part of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The team is responsible for independent oversight and risk governance covering all elements of operational risks including risks related to personal data. The team regularly interacts with a wide range of teams across Goldman Sachs Asset Management including embedded risk managers, and various Federation groups that cover Goldman Sachs Asset Management, including the Legal, Compliance, the Risk Division and Controllers in order to effectively monitor risk and continually improve upon our risk governance framework. The team is also responsible for risk monitoring and regulatory reporting for the global fund complex.THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and maintenance of the Operational Risk Management system
Identifying, assessing, monitoring and controlling operational risks
Management of operational incidents, including those related to the area of personal data
Supporting business units in creating recovery plans for identified irregularities in the area of operational risk management
Preparation of analyses of operational risk, market risk, liquidity risk and credit risk
Cooperation with the Financial Risk Management team
Support for operational departments in the design of operational controls
Management Board support in the area of data security
Participation and support of activities aimed at ensuring the continuity of critical processes (Business Continuity Management)
Participation in certification activities (ISO/ISAE)
Participation in projects

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Fluent communication in written and spoken English
Higher education, preferably economics and finance
Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management (including operational risk)
Ability to prepare and conduct presentations
Knowledge of standards supporting information security and issues related to personal data protection
High analytical skills and the ability to draw and formulate conclusions
Curiosity about the business environment and the asset management industry
