Greetings of the day from Team PUTHRI!We are happy to approach you as Trainer for Social Volunteering in Project PUTHRI.Presenting Project PUTHRI! This flagship project of the AVTAR Human Capital Trust, turns the spotlight on Indias daughters studying in Government Schools between the age group of 12-18 years. It seeks to redesign the destinies of these girls from the lower economic backgrounds right from their childhood into their adulthood as young working women, by providing them education and the required support system throughout their development. The end-goal of this project is to make 10,000 corporation school girls career intentional and ensure that they pursue white-collar jobs upon graduation.A thoroughly researched, well-rounded training program, PUTHRI not only inspires, but also grooms these girls right from their schooling to becoming confident career professionals who can elevate the economic status of themselves, their families, and their future generations.We need as many Mentors as we can to make this difference in the lives of these girls. And we are sure, that you would be equally excited and happy to be part of this wonderful initiative.Project Location:- Chennai/Pondicherry/CoimbatoreWho is a Mentor:A Mentor delivers skill-building on 40 core skills across 8 dimension. Her role is to encourage, motivate, challenge and guide every PUTHRI scholar to think through different solutions for various problems in life. By providing skills training on Intentionality, the Mentor helps create the PUTHRIs long term goals, urges them towards completing tertiary education and links them to a sustainable career in the Indian Workplace. A Mentor is either a second-career woman, a trainer, a coach or a PG student in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work, or anybody who has a passion in training adolescent children. After undergoing an intense TTT, the Mentor becomes a trustworthy counsellor and will create a real impact on the PUTHRI scholar through a 5 year consistent and ongoing relationship.Mentor Selection Process:- June/July 2022Who can be a PUTHRI Mentor:Energetic, emphatic, passionate & dedicated individuals, with active listening skillsOne who has the ability to see solutions and opportunities in every hurdle & challengeOne who can spare a minimum of 2 hours per week / 8 hours in a month. Being available on Saturdays will be idealWhoever is thrilled to be part of changing the lives of several young she-PUTHRI scholars.Is willing to devout mind, heart, and time towards this cause - consistently.Is very willing to share his/her life experiences to the PUTHRIS - as a way to guide, inspire, reassure, motivate, and also provide emotional support.Who is a teacher Ill tell you: it isnt someone who teaches something, but someone who inspires the student to give of her best in order to discover what she already know-Paulo CoelhoHelps in customizing ideas and deliveries that will enable the PUTHRIS to improve their life and sustain the learning.Roles and Responsibilities of a PUTHRI Mentor:Seek and create new opportunities for them, network, link and support their long term goals, be their trustworthy counsellor, who can make a real impact on their overall personality.Build a healthy rapport with PUTHRI Scholars to gain their trust & confidence.Deliver the specially designed career modules and constantly assess the students by observing, training & evaluating them.Maintain constant communication with the teachers and the School HM to assess the training impact by providing a weekly report to the School SPOC and the MIS person.Benefits of Being a PUTHRI MENTOR:You will be trained by the Master mentors on how to deliver an impactful session . You will be exposed to various training techniques to bring the impact.By the end of the one day intense training program, you will be given a facilitator manual and a certificate for taking up the training program in addition to the content of the 40 skills to be delivered to the PUTHRI Scholars.On successful completion of the 30 hour mentoring program during the academic year, you will be given an honorary certificate for being a PUTHRI MENTOR.You will be getting a chance to work with volunteers who work in various organizations which helps you to build up a network.Finally enormous of self satisfaction of Redesigning the Destinies of 10000 PUTHRI SCHOLARS.The Volunteering programme with Project PUTHRI also has different venues to get involved.
