Job Description

    Qualification:
    • Should have at least 4+ years of hands on experience in Web Hosting Infrastructure Support in Linux/Weblogic/Apache and Windows/IIS based middleware environments
    • Experience of Linux commands & Shell scripting
    • Should have good understanding of 3-tier application architecture with proxy configuration
    • Extensive knowledge and deep understanding on network devices such as F5 Load Balancer, Firewalls, DNS, etc.
    • Good understanding of Virtualization and VMware technologies; and storage (SAN, NAS, VMax storage types fundamentals
    • Knowledge of Zerto DR and correlation with VLAN in Mercer network
    Responsibility:
    • Provides Level 2 Infrastructure production support as a part of AES-COPS group
    • Seeks technical assistance from AES-Sys Admins or DBAs or escalates problem, when necessary
    • Respond to incidents and requests via ticketing system
    • Troubleshoot application and operating system issues
    • Educate and mentor team members on Infrastructure Services team
    • Assist in production operations (code deployments, upgrades, patching) off hours and on a regular basis.
    • Create technical diagrams and specifications to support system infrastructure design
    • Proactively evaluate and automate routine procedures.
    • Installation of SSL certificates, domain registration, creation of VIPs on F5 load balancers & iRules (if needed) on to migrated websites
    • Support AS400 Promotions using different tools: Object Promotions in SYSY, SYSNHP, SYSBT, etc.
    • Ensures processes and requirements are met such as Servers Patching schedules, downtime, backup and maintenance availability
    • Knowledge to Create/update F5 VIPs in virtual world
    • Candidate must be flexible in terms of working hours due to the nature of the role
    • Weekend work and extended day to support organized changes or incidents may be required
    • Bachelors degree in computer science, IT or related field.
    • 4+ years of UNIX and/or Linux Administration experience (Solaris and RedHat preferred)
    • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
    • Ability to understand technical issues and articulate a response to Guy Carpenter staff.
    • Experience with the following applications or services:
    • Splunk or Log file management equivalent.
    • Atlassian JIRA or Atlassian Confluence (or Azure DevOps)
    • Cloud technology experience.
    • Oracle WebLogic or Apache Tomcat (or equivalent)
    • Server clustering. Load Balancing and High Availability.
    • Intermediate scripting (any combination of Ansible, Perl, Ruby, Bourne, Python, and others)
    • Understanding of ITIL best practices.
    • Good analytics and problem solving
    Good to Have:
    • Knowledge of Windows/IIS SysAdmin support; Apache/Tomcat is an added advantage
    • Working with Docker containers in a commercial environment.
    • Understanding of DevOps (CI/CD) and Agile practices.
    • Informatica (IDQ, PowerCenter, IICS)
    • IBM Cognos Administration
    • Apigee
    • Okta or Oracle Access Management (or SSO equivalent)
    • LDAP or Active Directory experience
    • Experience with application and severs monitoring tools e.g. AlertSite, DataDog, etc.
    • Understanding of Security vulnerabilities of web based applications and their remediation
    • Experience working on CyberArk tool
