Job Description

    As an Applications Support Analyst 2 at our company, your role will involve monitoring, assessing, and analyzing processes and data. You will be responsible for identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data, and making recommendations. Your tasks will include researching and interpreting factual information, identifying inconsistencies in data, defining business issues, and formulating recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. You will integrate established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. Your impact on the business will be limited but direct through the quality of the tasks/services provided, primarily within your own team.**Key Responsibilities:**- Demonstrate a good understanding of application support procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify, and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments- Analyze existing system logic and use evaluative judgment to make recommendations and implement enhancements or fixes- Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards; document requirements- Partner with appropriate development and production support areas- Participate in validation and testing activities- Assess the applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures- Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner- Perform other duties and functions as assigned- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets**Qualifications:**- 3-6 years of experience or interest in application support procedures, concepts, and other technical areas- ITIL Foundation certification- Hands-on experience with Unix and SQL- Knowledge of batch management and monitoring tools- Ability to work well under pressure- Analytical and troubleshooting skills- Knowledge of banking applications and server infrastructure- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork**Education:**- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experienceIf you are a person with a disability and need a reasonable accommodation to use our search tools and/or apply for a career opportunity, please review Accessibility at Citi.
