Job Description

    The Applications Support Analyst 2 is a developing professional role where you will apply specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. You will identify policy gaps, interpret data, make recommendations, and research factual information. In this role, you will identify inconsistencies in data, define business issues, and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. Additionally, you will integrate established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. It is essential to have a good understanding of how the team interacts with others to achieve the areas objectives. Your impact on the business will be limited but direct through the quality of tasks and services provided, primarily restricted to your own team.Responsibilities:- Responsible for understanding apps support procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify, and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments.- Analyze existing system logic, use evaluative judgment to make recommendations, and implement enhancements or fixes.- Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes by researching and fact-finding with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards; document requirements.- Collaborate with appropriate development and production support areas.- Participate in validation and testing activities.- Assess the applicability of previous experiences, evaluate options under unique circumstances, and impact the team and closely related teams.- Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner.- Perform other duties and functions as assigned.- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Qualifications:- 3 years of experience or interest in apps support procedures, concepts, and other technical areas.- Participation in process improvements.- Ability to work under pressure.- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.- Knowledge in banking applications and server infrastructure.- Good interpersonal and communication skills, great teammate.Education:- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.Qualifications:- 3 years of experience in an apps support role.- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux/Unix OS.- Hands-on experience in SQL/Non-SQL based query language.- Good hands-on experience in scripting would be a plus.- Ability to work under pressure.Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, and Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.,
