Job Description

    • About The Company:
    • Aras client is a leading IT solutions provider, offering Applications, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Infrastructure services globally through a combination of technology knowhow, domain and process expertise.
    • The Role:
    • The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for effectively and accurately processing payroll and benefits. You will ensure a timely and accurate delivery of payroll and all other related services.
    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Process semi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried Colleagues of the firm.
    • Process terminations and ROEs.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related transactions.
    • Develop and update complex reports.
    • Maintain the accuracy of the payroll data on the HRIS.
    • Process benefits enrolments, changes, and terminations online.
    • Calculate and ensure benefit deductions and taxable benefits are set up in payroll system accurately.
    • Process benefits reconciliations, identify irregularities and inefficiencies.
    • Perform other payroll and benefits related duties as assigned.
    • End-to-end experience in pre-payroll and post-payroll activities.
    • Expertise in Canadian payroll, including Federal and Provincial laws,
    • Proficient in timesheet management and pre-payroll tasks, Bonus and leave calculations, including overtime and manual payroll calculations.
    • Familiarity with Workday tools.
    • Strong understanding of payroll-related compliance and processes.
    • Skills Required:
    • Should have experience in payroll operations, including formula-based and manual calculations.
    • Must have knowledgeable about Canadian payroll (Federal and Provincial) regulations, tax rates, and deductions.
    • Able to handle payroll queries and ensure timely processing.
    • Experience with Canadian payroll for multiple provinces is required.
    • Advanced hands-on experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.).
    • Ability to meet multiple demands in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining a can do attitude.
    • Excellent customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Experience reconciling time booking with terms established in CBA and Benefits plans
    • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Any Graduate
    • 2.5 years of related experience in payroll processing
