You will play a key role in ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of the project by applying your expertise in civil engineering. Your responsibilities will include:
• Site Inspection and Supervision :Inspect ongoing construction work to ensure it aligns with design specifications. Ensure that construction work follows the drawings and project guidelines. Identify and resolve deviations or issues on-site promptly.
• Setting Out (Marking Layouts):Proficiently use surveying tools like Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS for layout marking. Ensure proper alignment and accurate marking of foundations, columns, and walls as per the design.
• Quality Control:Test and approve construction materials, ensuring compliance with strength and suitability standards. Monitor proper curing and formwork procedures on-site. Reject or approve materials delivered to the site based on specifications.
• Construction Management:Lead teams, allocate tasks to workers, and monitor project timelines. Coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. Address any delays or issues in the construction schedule to maintain project progress.
• Safety and Compliance:Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and implement safety measures on-site. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and building codes.
• Estimation and Material Management:Estimate material requirements for daily/weekly tasks. Track material usage and minimize wastage. Maintain proper inventory management for construction materials.
• Concrete Work Supervision:Supervise the proper mixing and pouring of concrete as per the specified ratios. Check reinforcement placement and concrete compaction during pouring.
• Structural Work Supervision:Supervise and verify structural work on beams, columns, slabs, and foundations. Ensure that shuttering and scaffolding are safe before concrete pouring.
• Communication and Coordination:Maintain effective communication with architects, consultants, and clients. Document progress, daily reports, material logs, and inspection findings. Report any issues, delays, or challenges to the project manager.
• Problem-Solving On-Site:Act quickly to resolve any on-site issues, including weather delays, material shortages, or technical challenges. Manage labor disputes or technical errors efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
