Job Description

    • Payroll Processing:Manage the complete payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely calculation of wages, bonuses, and commissions. Update and enter new employee data, salary changes, and terminations into the payroll system.
    • Compliance and Reporting:Ensure that all payroll processes comply with Indian labor laws, taxation rules (Income Tax, EPF, ESI, etc.), and statutory obligations. Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant authorities such as the Income Tax Department, Provident Fund, and other regulatory bodies.
    • Tax and Benefits Administration:Accurately calculate tax deductions, manage benefit contributions (such as health insurance, provident fund), and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. Ensure correct withholding of tax for each employee based on their income bracket and deductions.
    • Employee Inquiries:Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, benefits, and taxes. Provide clear and accurate information to resolve issues regarding salary payments, bonuses, and other payroll-related concerns.
    • Data Entry and Maintenance:Update employee records related to payroll, including salary changes, new hires, promotions, and terminations. Maintain up-to-date records of all payroll data to ensure timely and accurate processing.
    • Auditing Payroll Records:Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure the accuracy of payroll data, proper deductions, and compliance with statutory regulations. Ensure any discrepancies are identified and rectified promptly.
    • Collaboration with HR and Finance:Work closely with the HR department to ensure employee records are accurately maintained, and with the finance team to manage payroll budgets and assist in financial reporting. Coordinate with HR for benefit plan administration and other employee-related services.
    • Handling Payroll Adjustments:Process any payroll adjustments such as garnishments, wage increases, bonuses, overtime, and deductions. Ensure all adjustments are correctly recorded and reflected in the final payroll processing.
    • Maintaining Payroll Documentation:Ensure proper documentation and filing of payroll information in compliance with legal and company standards. Maintain records of payroll data for auditing purposes and future reference.
