Job Description

    • Experience: 35 years (maximum; please do not share profiles with higher experience)- Design Engineer Job in Pune
    • Salary Range:38,00040,000 per month (this is the maximum budget)

    • Duties and Responsibilities:1. Design and Development Design and develop mechanical components, equipment, and Welding Machinesusing SolidWorks software. Prepare conceptual models in SolidWorks for Welding Machines based oncustomer requirements. Prepare fabrication and machinery drawings, including SolidWorks drawings ofmechanical equipment. Properly interpret design specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with industrystandards and regulations. Generate production drawings and submittals.2. Engineering Documentation and Support Create and maintain engineering documentation, such as Bills of Materials (BOM), andassembly instructions. Identify and resolve design-related issues during the development process. Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to ensure successful implementation ofdesigns.3. Design Review and Analysis Conduct design reviews with project teams to ensure design requirements are met. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to evaluate and optimize mechanicaldesigns. Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability. Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.4. Project and Time Management Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Communicate design changes and updates to project stakeholders clearly and concisely.5. Continuous Improvement and Industry Awareness Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance design processes and increaseefficiency.Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements in SolidWorks andrelated software. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and developments in the industry to remain atthe forefront of machine design and development.6. Training and Mentorship Provide training and mentorship to junior designers to develop their SolidWorks skills andknowledge.7. ISO and Compliance Prepare ISO documentation and follow processes accordingly. Ensure machines adhere to ergonomic and safety standards and comply with safety andregulatory standards such as ISO and CE certifications.8. Supplier and Customer Interaction Visit suppliers and customers to resolve queries as needed.9. Design Data Management Manage design data in Product Data Management (PDM) systems and handle hard copiesof drawings and documents.10. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product design for manufacturing.Competencies and Skills:1.Expert in the use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks2. Good grasp of basic hydraulics and pump selection will be added advantage.3. Ability to work independently on designing systems/sub-systems.4. Ability to analyse the viability of technical requirements and translate them into designelements.5. Ability to conceptualize engineering designs into 3D drawings6. Technical interpretation and evaluation of 3-D solid models prior to 2-D drawingconversion.7. Ability to interpret designs in terms of manufacturability.8. Knowledge of design and release processes with experience in working on SolidWorks.9. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with customersacross the globe.10. Good time management skills, while being highly motivated and proactive
