• Inspecting Equipment: Regularly checking fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting to ensure they are functional and up to code.
• Risk Mitigation: Identifying and monitoring high-risk areas (e.g., chemical storage, electrical rooms, and kitchens) to minimize potential hazards.
• Fire Strategies: Designing and updating comprehensive fire prevention programs, evacuation plans, and safe storage protocols for flammable materials.
2. General Safety & Compliance
• Regulatory Monitoring: Ensuring the facility complies with all local, state, and federal health and safety laws.
• Routine Inspections: Conducting daily or weekly walk-throughs to verify that work areas, tools, and heavy equipment are safe.
• PPE Management: Ensuring workers are equipped with and correctly use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA): Assisting in writing and updating risk assessments before any new or hazardous task begins.
3. Training & Emergency Preparedness
• Employee Training: Conducting routine safety meetings (Tool Box Talks) and orienting new hires on job-specific safety hazards.
• Emergency Drills: Planning and executing fire and evacuation drills so staff know how to react efficiently during an actual emergency.
• First Aid Readiness: Coordinating first aid protocols and emergency medical response.
4. Incident Management & Reporting
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents to determine the root cause and prevent reoccurrence.
• Documentation: Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of safety audits, fire drills, incident reports, and equipment maintenance.
