Job Description

    Job Title: Fleet ManagerLocation:puneCompany:Hoppy Mobility pvt ltdJob Type:Full-TimeJob Summary: The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the companys fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient operations, maintenance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves managing vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules, driver management, and budget adherence while optimizing the fleets performance and safety.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Fleet Management:
      • Manage and optimize the fleet of vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and operational.
      • Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures.
    2. Maintenance Oversight:
      • Schedule regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
      • Coordinate with service providers and mechanics for repairs and inspections.
    3. Budget Management:
      • Prepare and manage the fleet budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
      • Analyze fuel consumption and maintenance costs to optimize spending.
    4. Compliance:
      • Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety inspections and emissions testing.
      • Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle registrations, insurance, and inspections.
    5. Driver Management:
      • Oversee driver hiring, training, and performance management.
      • Implement safe driving practices and conduct regular driver evaluations.
    6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
      • Track and analyze fleet performance metrics (fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, vehicle usage).
      • Prepare reports for management on fleet performance and recommendations for improvements.
    7. Procurement:
      • Research and negotiate vehicle purchases and leases to ensure the best value.
      • Manage the disposal of old or unused vehicles in compliance with company policies.
    8. Safety and Risk Management:
      • Develop and promote safety protocols to minimize accidents and liabilities.
      • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and preventive measures.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and compliance regulations.
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
    • Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Valid drivers license.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications in fleet management or logistics.
    • Experience with electric or alternative fuel vehicles.
    Working Conditions:
    • Office-based with occasional site visits.
    • May require irregular hours based on fleet operations.
