• Perform tree maintenance, trimming, and pruning for commercial and industrial properties
• Manage, oversee, and supervise forestry crews
• Manage team and project schedules
• Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and timelines
• Seek out opportunities for growth and improvement by developing new business relationships
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, or local laws and regulations
• Maintain a highly motivated work environment
Forestry Technician Responsibilities:
• Perform field inspections of forests to determine when harvesting is necessary and ensure that harvesting activities do not degrade forests
• Perform ecological, site, and wildlife assessments to monitor forest health and growth
• Gather data on forest height, diameter, biomass, and condition using electromechanical equipment
• Convert forest data to maps, diagrams, and reports
• Provide clients with maps of forest harvest areas
