Job Description

  • The job is a leadership role for the Data Provisioning technology across Corporate (and BI where required), technologies include Data Gateway, Transformer, BEM, ODS, MetaData and Lineage Hub.
  • his primarily involves driving the adoption & rollout of tech domain approved technologies such as Ab>Initio, MongoDB ODS, Hadoop, API to build & expand standard data integration offering.
  • This will encompass accountability for application & infrastructure design, development and testing through to production implementation.
  • Build & maintenance of a scalable integration infrastructure and strategic multi-tenancy platform with invest product sets, primarily Ab>Initio product suite
  • Delivery of a service that will cater to the integration needs at BI level
  • Setting up of governance model, engagement processes, costing & chargeback for multi-tenancy integration platform
  • Consolidation of all existing integrations across Corporate Banking landscape on to gateway and ODS
  • Remediation of all existing integration that are built on non-strategic (such as Informatica or DataStage) or non-scalable platforms
  • Capability building to integrate with global data platforms (Data Lake, MongoDB ODS, Data Protection as a Service)
  • Define strategy & execution for Cloud journey & adoption
  • Define standards and best practices for Gateway
  • Define & implement the model for federated delivery capabilities
  • Upskilling & Cross-skilling of team on various integration technologies that CDG offers, such as Ab>Initio & KAFKA
  • Apply innovative thinking to support the business & technology in delivering its strategic objectives in line with Cluster and Group IT Strategies, rather than just responding to a pre-defined request
  • Decision in defining the approaches for new initiatives, DevOps, process improvement, automations/agile and product development
  • The individual will also be responsible for the local management of the team in India (vendor and permanent employee mix) and will involve facing off to IT teams globally.
  • The role will involve taking the lead for the team technically and managerially, including gaining a full understanding of the underlying systems, tools and processes to ensure that the required transformation is delivered.
  • The system stack is highly complex, and an ability to dive deeply into technical issues and transformation blockers is paramount.
  • Individual needs to have engineering background and good understanding of delivery lifecycle and ability to engage in complex conversations with Architecture and Design.
  • The individual also needs to manage multiple stakeholders locally and globally including at Managing Director level.
  • The individual will be required to communicate issues and status at all levels of the organisation as well as managing vendor relationships tightly.
