Job Description

As an Intern in the Data Science department, you will be part of a Cooperative (Co-op) education program lasting up to 6 months. During this time, you will have the opportunity to work on one or more data science projects within the Human Health Commercial division of our company. This experience aims to provide you with valuable development opportunities and help you determine if our company aligns with your long-term career goals.**Key Responsibilities:**- Provide analytical and technical support by collecting and analyzing internal and external pharmaceutical data to assist in making informed business decisions.- Contribute to solving unique commercial analytic questions through the application of Advanced Analytics (AI/ML) techniques.**Qualifications Required:**- Currently enrolled in a bachelors/masters/PhD program in a Quantitative discipline like Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant fields.- Expected to graduate within the next 1-2 years.- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python/R with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.- Familiarity with data science fundamentals and advanced statistical methods like clustering, regression, and classification.- Ability to independently problem-solve complex analytical projects.- Interest in supporting pharmaceutical data and analytics initiatives.- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.- Ability to balance methodological rigor with project timelines.**Preferred Experience and Skills:**- Experience with machine learning and data manipulation packages like scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, or mlr.- Familiarity with SQL and databases such as Redshift/Athena.- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models.In addition, our Human Health Division upholds a philosophy of patient first, profits later .
