Job Description

    Team Lead (Mechanical)Qualifications:
    • Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) preferred, or equivalent experience.
    Experience:
    • 5 to 8 years in mechanical engineering, with a focus on water infrastructure projects.
    Budget:
    • 12-15 LPA
    Nature of Work:The role involves leading mechanical engineering efforts for water infrastructure projects, including components such as intake works, pumphouses, water treatment facilities, and pipelines. Responsibilities include overseeing the selection of mechanical equipment, creating specifications, and managing supplier negotiations.Role Description:The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in water infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning and a thorough understanding of the interdependence of various disciplines, including Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation.Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options for review and agreement with clients and key project stakeholders, ensuring risks and gaps are mitigated while upholding the Project Basis of Design.
    • Oversee design calculations for the sizing of mechanical, hydraulic, power-generating, and building services equipment.
    • Liaise with the supply chain to assess and implement the latest technologies as part of the optioneering process.
    • Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and innovative solutions.
    • Manage outputs for various processes, including P&IDs, data sheets, HAZID and HAZOP studies, and mechanical input into commissioning plans, including proposed performance tests.
    • Drive excellence in Health & Safety, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs in compliance with CDM Regulations and standards.
    • Identify and promote opportunities to meet project objectives related to digital innovation, sustainability, and team development.
