Job Description

    Job Title:Piping Stress EngineerLocation: Kalyani Nagar, PuneExperience: 7 - 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in EPCM, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.Qualification:Bachelors degree in mechanical engineeringCompensation: 7 - 15 LPAKey Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficiency in CAESAR II for piping system modelling and stress analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, API, IBR, etc.).
    • Expertise in pipe support standards and selection.
    • Experience preparing and reviewing detailed engineering deliverables (GA drawings, isometrics, MTO, support drawings, material specifications, line lists, valve lists).
    • Ability to design piping systems and execute 3D projects using data-centric tools such as CAESAR II and Navisworks Review.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools (an added advantage).
    • EPC project experience, with exposure to North American projects preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross functional teams.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Perform CAESAR II modelling of piping systems and conduct detailed flexibility and stress analysis.
    • Evaluate the effects of support settlement, seismic loads, thermal cycles, wind loads, and safety relief valve forces.
    • Select and design appropriate spring supports and verify compliance with allowable nozzle load limits. Perform nozzle flexibility analysis (WRC), flange leakage checks, and related stress verifications.
    • Prepare and maintain stress-critical line lists.
    • Develop data sheets for expansion joints and spring hangers; update pipe support standards as required.
    • Prepare comprehensive stress analysis reports.
    • Review pipeline layouts for stress considerations and recommend necessary modifications.
