Job Description

    The Plastics Engineer is responsible for designing and developing plastic materials, products, and processes needed for manufacturing. The engineer works with other engineers and designers to ensure that product designs meet specific requirements and are manufacturable.Key Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop plastic materials, products, and processes for use in manufacturing.
    • Create and modify 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
    • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure that products meet specific requirements and are manufacturable.
    • Analyze designs for manufacturing and recommend improvements in quality and efficiency.
    • Conduct research and development activities to improve product performance and reduce costs.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation related to product design and development.
    • Stay current with advancements in plastic materials, products, and processes, and recommend improvements in product design and development.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in Plastics Engineering or related field.
    • 3 years of experience in plastic product design and development.
    • Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with injection molding and other plastic manufacturing processes.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Masters degree in Plastics Engineering or related field.
    • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
    • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
    • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Experience with plastic product testing and quality control.
