Job Description

    JOB TITLE: PROCESS ENGINEERLOCATION: KED SHIVAPURFUNCTION: OPERATIONSRESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Evaluate and develop friction welding applications and processes
    • Define weld parameters, machine settings, and material requirements
    • Perform metallurgical sample preparation and weld quality assessment
    • Recommend component and tooling design improvements for optimized welding
    • Support feasibility studies, development, production welding, and quotations
    • Prepare technical documentation (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Risk Assessments)
    • Troubleshoot weld issues and implement process improvements
    • Provide technical support and act as key contact for customers and internal teams
    • Contribute to technical knowledge base and ensure timely project completion
    • Promote organizational values and support continuous improvement initiatives
    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:1. Bachelors degree in engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering and/or Materials required. Advanced degree preferred.2. 2-3 years in an engineering or technically oriented role directly related to friction welding or some solid-state joining process.3. 2-3 years as a Process Engineer, or similar technical role, related to process definition, development and improvement4. Direct experience in material joining, material properties and/or material characteristics,strongly preferred.5. Knowledge related to DFM (design for manufacture) and DOE (design of experiments) methodology
