Job Description

Project directors are responsible for the successful conclusion of the project by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances and making sure that each phase of the project starts and ends on schedule. Project directors work within the projects scope of work (SOW) or function specification documents (FSD).Project directors oversee more than one project manager because theyre often responsible for overseeing multiple projects. Their oversight is at the strategic level, managing shared resources and finances to make sure each project is progressing on time and within budget. Their leadership position requires that theyre updated regularly so they can make needed adjustments to staffing or finance to align with the broader outcome goals.
