Job Description

    The Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales in a specified area or region within the FMCG sector.This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who will manage relationships withdistributors, retailers, and consumers to achieve sales targets, increase market penetration, andbuild brand awareness. The Sales Officer will be responsible for executing sales strategies andensuring effective distribution of FMCG products.Key Responsibilities: Sales && Target Achievement: Achieve sales targets and objectives set for the assignedterritory. Distribution Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors andretailers, ensuring the timely delivery and availability of products. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs toidentify opportunities for growth. Product Visibility && Merchandising: Ensure that FMCG products are prominently displayedin retail outlets and follow brand guidelines. Promotional Activities: Execute promotional campaigns and product activations incollaboration with the marketing team. Reporting && Documentation: Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customerfeedback for management review. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support to retailers anddistributors, resolving any issues promptly. Stock Management: Ensure proper stock levels at customer locations and take necessaryaction to avoid stockouts or excess inventory. Training && Development: Provide training and guidance to the sales team and distributorson product knowledge and sales techniques.Requirements: Proven experience in sales or distribution management in the FMCG industry (minimum of 6months-3 years). Strong knowledge of the FMCG market, products, and distribution channels. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other sales tools. A proactive approach to solving problems and handling challenges. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.Desired Skills: Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.Analytical mindset and ability to interpret sales data to drive decisions. Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer preferences. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
