Job Description

    A research investigator typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
    • Conducting research to identify new treatments or therapies for diseases or conditions
    • Identifying and working with patients who may benefit from clinical trials
    • Conducting research to develop new products or improve existing products
    • Reviewing scientific literature and developing hypotheses based on findings
    • Collaborating with other researchers to plan research studies and design methods
    • Conducting research in a variety of scientific fields including chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, psychology, sociology, and medicine.
    • Preparing reports detailing research findings and conclusions to be published in peer reviewed journals
    • Developing and implementing study designs, procedures, and instruments for research projects
    • Conducting clinical trials to test new drugs or medical devices for safety and effectiveness
    Education:Research investigators need a bachelors degree in a field such as biology, chemistry, psychology or another closely related discipline.
