Job Description

As an SDE-1 specializing in Backend/AWS Systems for a cloud-native product, your role involves building end-to-end systems rather than just APIs. You will be responsible for designing multi-step workflow systems, scalable APIs, event-driven backends, and deploying production systems on AWS. Your expertise in Python, Node.js, or Java, along with a solid understanding of System Design, DSA, and SQL, will be essential for this role.**Key Responsibilities:**- Designing multi-step workflow systems with complex state transitions- Building scalable APIs and event-driven backends with queues and async processing- Deploying and managing production systems on AWS- Integrating external services and handling real production edge cases- Utilizing AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway- Working with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Express, or Spring Boot- Implementing background jobs, Redis caching, and CI/CD pipelines- Ability to design systems beyond basic CRUD operations**Qualifications Required:**- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java- Strong knowledge of System Design, Data Structures, and SQL- Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway- Familiarity with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Express, or Spring Boot- Experience with background jobs, Redis caching, and CI/CD pipelines- Ability to design complex systems beyond basic CRUD operationsThe company is focused on building a workflow-heavy, cloud-native product and is seeking individuals who can independently design, deploy, and manage real-world systems on AWS while handling edge cases effectively.
