Job Description

Position Description

The Senior Consultant BMC-ITSM must have a wide range of knowledge with the installation, configuration, customization, implementation and maintenance of BMC ITSM Suite of applications. Emtec is placing an emphasis on quality soft skills particularly communication, work ethic and ability collaborate well other colleagues as well as take ownership of work product and deliver quality results.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of Emtec and customer resources to deliver required outcomes
  • Lead a project team if necessary
  • Build/code screens following specifications provided
  • Must be familiar with other IT network management technologies and have an operational knowledge of IT data center functions
  • Ability to take direction and work independently in achieving stated objectives
  • Possess and demonstrate an understanding of enterprise scale integrated applications from a process/business perspective

Must Have Skills:

  • University degree or College diploma
  • 5 years of experience working with BMC Remedy AR System, ITSM and Atrium CMDB
  • Proven development skills and integrating products with the AR System suite
  • Understanding of BMCs technology including but not limited to:
    • BMC Remedy ITSM applications, administration, and development
    • BMC Remedy AR System Server administration, development, and tuning
    • BMC security solutions

    Preferred Skills:

    • 2 yrs BMC Atrium Orchestrator
    • ITIL v3 or ITIL mastery highly desirable

    Professional Skills:

    • Ability to take ownership of a project and consistently deliver a quality product
    • Excellent problem solving skills, creativity, and insight
    • Strong interpersonal, presentation and English communication skills
    • Excellent written communication ability in English
      • Creation of quality presentations, white papers, etc
    • Strong analytical and overall technical skills
