Job DescriptionJob Summary:Move materials, goods and products (including importing and exporting) to ensure that they are in the right place at right time to meet customer demand and in the most cost-effective way.Will have people and budgetary management responsibility.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Implementation of standard methodology logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, Import-Export schemes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal customers, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, Customs and customers.Create and implement standard methodology logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performanceDeliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and. transport costs.Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequency.Ensure carrier performance and compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.Keep record of all Export-Import shipments along with documents.Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available.Knowledge of various Export Schemes DBK, RoDTEPKnowledge of various Import Schemes Advance License, Brand RateEnsure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportationTake control of packaging and provide appropriate, cost-effective, high-quality solutionsEnsure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirementsTake control of packaging and provide appropriate, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.Who You Are:You should have Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills Customer focused. Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally. Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities.
