Description and RequirementsFrom core to cloud to edge, BMC delivers the software and services that enable over 10,000 global customers, including 84% of the Forbes Global 100, to thrive in their ongoing evolution to an Autonomous Digital Enterprise.Title Sr Manager, Product DevelopmentLocation: PuneBU/Product Description & Job Overview/Role of the candidate:This position will be responsible for leading the Product Engineering team based in India that is part of the Helix Autonomous Digital Enterprise business unit of BMC.As Senior Manager at BMC you will have end-to-end ownership of the product and the responsibility to innovate, design, develop, release, maintain, and support software. You will be involved in leading & building product grounds-up, leading development/QA of products, understand customer needs and product roadmaps, drive incremental and radical innovation and can actively lead and drive all aspects of day-to-day engineering management, from product and technology direction to process improvements.Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be establishing and maintaining a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team. A person who is hands-on, technically sound, but also able to lead and influence people.
  • You will drive high quality, on-time releases, lead day-to-day execution including all technical aspects of the product
  • As a Senior Manager, your will be working closely with other product owners to establish dependencies and ensuring execution of the same. Since this a new product being built grounds-up, it requires a lot of interaction to seek and aggressively implement early feedback from customers, internal BMC stakeholders like sales/pre-sales, customer success teams.
  • You will be leading a team of Developers, QA technicians, and working closely with product management, vendors, other product owners.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Manage all people aspects of the team, such as hiring, reviews, coaching, promotions.
  • Contributes to and executes long-term plans for product architecture and engineering development.
Qualification:Required Skills:
  • 14+ years of proven track record of managing the development of enterprise-grade software products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broader enterprise ecosystem.
  • Experience with core enterprise architecture, multiple platforms, web server/application servers, databases, web technologies, object oriented programming languages.
  • Deep experience with Agile software development techniques and pitfalls.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructure and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Engine, or Azure.
  • Experience developing and supporting hosted and/or multi-tenant software delivered in the Software-a-Service (SaaS) model.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in Dashboard and Analytics, reporting technology, core Java, Go programming language, Java scripts, HTML 5.0 Angular JS/ReactJS is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
