In this role, you will manage a team of Firmware engineers responsible for the development and validation of Artemis platform Firmware covering the Boot ROM, Device Firmware, Security, Power Management, Manufacturing support. In addition, this person will also be responsible for managing the team porting Linux kernel to Artemis platform along with a suitable RTOS for the real-time CPU subsystem.This person should have prior management experience as a first level manager in a Semiconductor company. Ideal candidate should have experience in all stages of product development from conceptualization thru release to market and debugging/supporting field escalations.Accountabilities Lead the Firmware team in Pune working on Boot ROM, Platform firmware, Linux and RTOS support teams to deliver a fully functioning Boot-ROM, Bring-up of platform Firmware and Linux/RTOS port on A0 silicon. Inculcate Agile philosophy and its implementation in terms of sprint planning, reviews, backlog scrub, demos, defect tracking, prioritization and management in the team to deliver high quality output. Maintain agile metrics via appropriate JIRA dashboard for the projects at hand and demonstrate continuous improvement. Act as technical mentor and day-to-day supervisor for the team. Lead the team to ensure that career paths are outlined, and skills are continuously enhanced.Required Skills Graduate degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications or similar engineering discipline An accomplished professional with more than 12 years of experience in Firmware development in a Semiconductor company covering multiple product launches from concept to production. Experience with bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux based product firmware. Experience collaborating with RTL design, Verification & Applications teams. Experience with pre and post-silicon emulation & product Firmware development leading to successful new product launch is desirable. Ability to define and track quality metrics in areas of responsibility and drive continuous improvement. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and must have led large teams Delivering software solutions in Linux or Windows environments. Agile development methodologies for software/system development with metrics and demonstrating continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in an ever changing, fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities with good planning and implementation skills. Experience and preference for working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with engineers, product managers and peers,
