Job Description

As a Storage and Backup Specialist at our company, you will play a key role in providing level 2 operations support to our global clients. Your responsibilities will include administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a large multi-platform storage environment that encompasses technologies such as large fibre channel SAN with multiple directors, servers, storage frames, as well as enterprise backup technologies.Key Responsibilities:- Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and support large multi-platform storage environment- Expertise in EMC Storage, NetApp Storage, 3PAR, Mirroring Zoning, LUN creation, and DELL SC series- Experience with EMC, HP 3PAR, DELL EMC, IBM, and NetApp series storage arrays- Troubleshoot and maintain SAN infrastructure performance, hardware, and connectivity- Proficiency in Cisco and Brocade series FC switches- SAN storage provisioning, LUN masking, and zoning- Storage capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting- Understanding of NFS, CIFS, and Fiber Channel protocols- Supporting and managing replication- Basic knowledge of operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX- Certification in EMC, NetApp, HP storage, EMC Networker, Symantec NetBackup, VEEAM, or Commvault- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM and operations processes- Strong communication skills for effective verbal and written interactions- Availability for shift work and on-call support in a 24x7 environmentQualifications Required:- 4 to 9 years of relevant work experience with enterprise-level storage and backup platforms- Expertise in at least one of HP3PAR, DELL SC series, or NetApp Storage and one additional tool- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field- Preference for storage and backup certificationsThis position offers you the opportunity to leverage your expertise in storage and backup technologies while contributing to the seamless operations of our global clients.
