Job Title: ServiceNow Developer (6 Years of Experience)Location: PuneJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in custom application development and integration. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in ServiceNow development, including hands-on expertise in creating custom applications, integrating third-party systems, and implementing best practices for ServiceNow solutions. As part of our development team, you will work on enhancing our ServiceNow platform and contribute to its continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business requirements.
• Design and implement complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.).
• Write efficient and maintainable scripts in ServiceNow (e.g., Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Script Includes).
• Develop and maintain custom applications within ServiceNow, following best practices for app creation and lifecycle management.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and Service Catalog.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions within ServiceNow.
• Perform regular testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution on the platform.
• Ensure ServiceNow platform security, performance, and scalability are optimized.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, mentoring junior developers, and participating in peer code reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with new ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.
• ServiceNow Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, configuration, and customization.
• Custom Application Development: Extensive experience in building and customizing ServiceNow applications (App Engine, Scoped Apps).
• Integration: Strong experience with integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using web services (REST/SOAP), MID Server, and other integration tools.
• Scripting: Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow-specific scripting (Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, etc.).
• ServiceNow Modules: Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Asset Management.
• ServiceNow Certification: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Version Control: Experience working with version control tools like Git or SVN.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM (IT Operations Management) and ITBM (IT Business Management).
• Experience in creating Service Portal widgets and customizing user interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Performance Analytics and reporting within ServiceNow.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
