Job Description

    As a Silicon Design Validation Engineer at Lattice, you will be part of our worldwide community of engineers, designers, and manufacturing operations specialists. Your role involves validating building blocks in FPGA on board level to ensure functionality and performance align with design intent. Heres what you can expect in this exciting role:- Validate and characterize various IPs from silicon arrival to release to production- Develop validation and characterization plans for specific IPs, bench hardware, and software- Create test logic RTL to execute validation and characterization tests- Drive new silicon product bring-up, validation, and debug to assess IP functionality and performance- Collaborate with design, verification, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams to move products from silicon arrival to product release- Support customer issues to resolve post-release challengesTo excel in this role, you will need:- 2 years of experience in Silicon Design Validation- An Electrical Engineering degree with a strong interest in pursuing a career in this field- Knowledge in High-Speed Serdes Interface characterization and protocol compliance testing (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, MIPI, USB)- Understanding of high-speed board design and signal integrity evaluation- Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and FPGA development tools- Skills in test automation development using Python, Perl- Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts and tools like JMP, R- Experience with bench equipment for device characterization such as BERT, VNA, Oscilloscopes- Exposure to FPGA emulation/prototyping- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration- Self-motivation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skillsIf you are passionate about invention, self-challenge, and eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects, this role at Lattice may be the perfect fit for you.
