Site Engineer

Job Description

The Site Engineer oversees the planning, execution, and management of construction activities on-site. They ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients, to ensure smooth operations at the site.Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution:
   • Supervise daily on-site construction activities and ensure work is performed according to design, specifications, and standards.
   • Monitor progress and maintain adherence to project schedules and deadlines.
2. Technical Oversight:
   • Interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring proper execution.
   • Provide technical guidance to contractors and site workers.
   • Conduct quality checks on materials and work performed to ensure compliance with standards.
3. Resource Management:
   • Manage materials, equipment, and workforce efficiently.
   • Ensure the availability of resources to avoid project delays.
4. Health & Safety:
   • Enforce adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
   • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures as required.
5. Coordination & Communication:
   • Liaise with architects, consultants, clients, and contractors to resolve issues.
   • Prepare and present site progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
6. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials, and equipment usage.
   • Prepare and review site reports, project plans, and schedules.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 25 years of experience in a similar role, depending on project scope.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Leadership skills to manage on-site teams effectively.
