Role Overview:As an Engineer in Quality at PhonePe Limited, you will be responsible for owning and maintaining the quality of large features, products, and services. This includes ensuring a seamless end user experience and assessing the impact of your work. You will take complete ownership of the quality process and metrics across all releases. Additionally, you will define the execution path for your area of work, prioritize tasks, and establish predictability for stakeholders. Collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication are key aspects of this role. You will be expected to lead change, build relationships with team members, and deliver solutions even in the face of unforeseen challenges.Key Responsibilities:- Own and maintain the quality of large features, products, and services- Define the execution path for your area of work- Prioritize tasks and account for external dependencies- Lead people into change by evangelizing the need for it- Collaborate with peers and team members- Deliver solutions despite incomplete information- Break medium-sized stories into smaller testing tasks- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in run timeQualifications Required:- BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills- 5 years of software development and testing experience with people management skills- Experience in Automation for UI, Mobile application, API, Web, and Performance testing- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting language- Experience in testing mobile apps in iOS, Android OS, and test automation- Exposure to Performance or any other Non-Functional testing- Knowledge of test methodology, tools, software testing standards, and build systems- Experience with continuous integration tools and version control systems- Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage- Flexibility to switch between multiple high priority assignments- Exposure to DevOps tech stack like Docker, Jenkins, Mesos, and MarathonPlease note: This job description pertains to a full-time employee at PhonePe Limited and may not be applicable for intern or contract roles.If you are excited about building technology that impacts millions, ideating with top minds, and executing your dreams with purpose and speed, consider joining PhonePe!
