Job Description

    Position: Sr Design Engineer -VAVEExp: 5-7 YearsLocation: Pune [Magarpata] [5 Days WFO]Mandatory Skills: Design Engineer, NPD, Vave, Surface ModelingBASIC FUNCTION:Execute VAVE Design Projects following the Exit Gate process.Work with cross-functional teams (Internal and External) in product development.Evaluation of Cost-out Ideas and recommendation on technical feasibility.If required, participate in Kaizen and Ideation workshops.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Job Duties: -Understand the product functionality and prepare alternate design concept models.Prepare detailed Concept model (Complex surfacing models) and drawing using Creo software.Coordinate the development and verification testing of modified designs.Create BOMs, Engineering change requests and release the revised designs in Windchill database and SAP.Work with cross function team and make sure the product changes are in line with the codes and standards and customer value proposition.Create project evolution report and project feasibility presentation.Organization Relationships:Equivalent counterparts of business units and peers in the group.EXPERIENCE:5-to-7-year experience in execution of plastic design Projects following NPD stage gates.Demonstrated ability to drive solid engineering solutions to complex problems.Good knowledge of the thermoforming process and design.Must have good communication to work globally with cross function teams.Strong surface modeling skills using PTC Creo Software.Good Knowledge of tolerance stack up and DFM process.Education:Bachelors degree with Mechanical Engineering.Certificate in MS Excel/Advance, MS PowerPoint, etc.
