Job Description

As a Staff Software Engineer - Backend (Adtech Team) in Pune, you will be part of the Advertising Technology team dedicated to revolutionizing the advertising landscape through a cutting-edge global ad platform. Your role will involve designing and developing major functional changes to existing software systems, optimizing content monetization, and enhancing user experiences across various platforms.Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop major functional changes to existing software systems or new ones, collaborating with other engineers and showcasing subject matter expertise.- Drive best practices and set standards for the team, proposing and creating best practices proactively.- Write high-quality, maintainable, and robust code, with a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.- Evaluate run-time performance, data structures, and algorithms to make informed decisions on trade-offs.- Provide guidance through code reviews, design reviews, and feedback, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.- Contribute significantly to team planning, make trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs, and mentor other engineers.- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and provide learnings to improve development processes and system design.- Be passionate about team growth by hiring and mentoring engineers.Qualifications Required:- 9 - 13 years of experience in proficiently developing solutions in Java.- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical experience.- Experience in backend software development, microservices, and event-driven architectures/solutions.- Knowledge of design patterns, standard industry tools for software development, and cloud infrastructure.- Familiarity with a range of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL options, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.- Experience with operational excellence mechanisms and software engineering best practices.- Ability to work independently with minimal instructions and participate in an inclusive and supportive engineering culture.Additional Company Details:Warner Bros.
