Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of asset management in the construction sector.What does the role involve Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and design principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, QA, DevOps) to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-native development. Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. Project Management: Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, balancing short-term and long-term goals. Communicate project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders effectively. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. Innovation and Growth: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our products and processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the teams productivity and software quality. Contribute to the growth and development of the engineering team, identifying training and development opportunities.What you need is:Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 10 years experience building software and complex services 5 years of working experience in designing, building, and managing highly availableand distributedservices 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably using Java, C#, JavaScript, and related frameworks preferably Spring, React 5 years of working experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or others, and familiarity with cloud concepts such as orchestration and microservices Experiencein software engineering practices, coding and solid foundation in data structures, algorithms with proven testing, debugging and analytical skills Familiarity with DevOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, and monitoring Effective communication, collaboration skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize issues to create clarityPreferred Qualifications: Passion for software engineering building resilient, operationally efficient platforms, and experiences Experience working across disciplines and teams Passion for leading a diverse, inclusive engineering organization Significant developer experience that builds empathy and understanding of a broader developer communityWhy should you apply We have an excellent mix of people, which we believe makes for a more vibrant, more innovative, more productive team.
