Test Manager - Release manager EE2, AVP

Job Description

As a Test Manager - Release Manager AVP at Deutsche Bank Private Bank, your role involves orchestrating the entire software delivery lifecycle, planning and coordinating releases from development to deployment. You will be responsible for defining release scope, schedules, and readiness criteria, managing dependencies and environments, and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:- Working with product owners and stakeholders to understand release goals, features, and desired outcomes.- Creating detailed release schedules, timelines, and milestones, including all phases from development to deployment.- Identifying and coordinating necessary resources for each release, such as people, environments, and tools.- Setting clear criteria for release progression and making critical go/no-go decisions.- Tracking progress, addressing deviations or delays, and managing dependencies between teams and systems.- Ensuring appropriate test and production environments are available and configured correctly.- Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact the release.- Facilitating discussions to determine if a release is ready to proceed to the next stage.- Providing regular updates to stakeholders on release progress, risks, and issues.- Continuously reviewing and improving the release management process to enhance efficiency and quality.To excel in this role, you should have:- Minimum 9 years experience in a Release Manager role, with ITIL knowledge being a plus.- Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, DevOps) and CI/CD concepts.- Proficiency with version control systems like Git, deployment tools like Ansible and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Basic scripting skills for automation and familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.- Experience with tools across the Software Development Lifecycle/DevOps and working with Agile/SCRUM teams.At Deutsche Bank, you can expect benefits such as best-in-class leave policy, parental leaves, childcare assistance, sponsorship for certifications, comprehensive insurance, and more.
