Job Description

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer with UFT exposure, you will play a crucial role in automation testing, solution implementation, and troubleshooting for enterprise applications. Your responsibilities will include:- Leading the analysis, planning, framework design, script preparation, maintenance, and execution of scripts across an enterprise application landscape.- Advocating automation practices within agile teams.- Participating actively in continuous improvement measures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of automation.- Delivering agreed automation services to programs and projects.- Understanding automation requirements and deciding on the approach and solution implementation.- Preparing automation design documents, test plans, estimates, status reports, and execution reports for every release/build.- Analyzing business requirements, solution designs, and process documentation to identify feasible automation candidates.- Maintaining automation tools and configuration activities in the assigned team.- Ensuring successful delivery of automation deliverables for assigned projects according to an agreed implementation plan/schedule.- Building relationships and liaising closely with stakeholders to bring value to projects through the implementation of automation solutions.- Raising defects and ensuring their retesting and closure at the completion of testing.- Creating and managing test data within assigned test environments for relevant tests.- Following automation test processes and procedures within the Testing practice.- Mentoring and guiding less experienced testing resources in the team.Additionally, you should have the following qualifications and experience:- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.- At least 5-7 years in a test role with a minimum of 5 years in implementing automation solutions.- Experience in automating complex E2E integrated financial platforms like Superannuation, Insurance, or Banking is highly desirable.- Strong experience in defining and documenting test automation approaches and plans across test phases.- Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch in projects.- Experience in API (SOAP/Rest/Microservices) testing using tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Ready API, etc.- Strong experience in building comprehensive test automation suites for various applications and services.- Proficiency in Selenium, Test Complete, Appium, and other open-source automation tools.- Experience in Java, C#, VB, Groovy, BDD using Specflow library/Cucumbers, and delivering automation over CD/CI pipelines.- Working experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical glitches during implementation.- Demonstrated ability to plan and perform software quality assurance activities for complex initiatives.- Experience in working in a captive model or distributed delivery model will be advantageous.Your expertise in automation testing and your ability to lead and guide testing resources will be essential in this role.
